The Estyn 2010 Inspection noted, ‘The school is a supportive and caring community where learners make very good progress and achieve good standards. The environment is safe and happy and learners are keen to learn within a very special ethos. Relationships are good with outstanding features on every level.

The purpose of an education system is to create situations and provide resources that will enable every child to develop into a rounded individual, develop and use all his/her talents, which will meet requirements according to age, ability, and interest, and equip him/her to become a responsible member of a bilingual community, who will make a contribution to it and be its recipient, and live in peace and harmony with others.
The curricular aims at Ysgol Bodfeurig indicate that we appreciate that every child needs to develop his/her potential. That every child benefits from the wealth of the Welsh Heritage, and that every child contributes to a rapidly changing society. Every school is required to prepare and develop a comprehensive scheme that is based on the LEA’s curricular policy. This scheme will contain details on the curriculum and how it is implemented at the school to ensure that the education that pupils receive, fully comply with the aims set out in the document.
