Welcome to The Lakes College, and thank you for considering our school for your child. Our College is a happy and vibrant place, combining a nurturing environment with extensive educational opportunities.

A large part of what we do differently at The Lakes College is our approach to learning. We encourage a responsible attitude to work and instill values, standards, and good discipline as the foundations for quality teaching and learning. We teach our students HOW to learn in a specialized subject because we understand that in an ever changing world, the ability to adapt and transform are vital skills.

We are also committed to promoting a culture of excellence by providing an educational setting of the highest standard. Our strong emphasis on literacy and numeracy and focus on foreign language, the arts, and physical activity, allows students to explore and develop their interests and passions. Our dedicated staff support differentiation in the curriculum, tailoring each student's schooling experience according to their aptitude to ensure the individual child's best outcomes.

The College's state of the art facilities coupled with extensive pastoral care equips students for the technological, economic, social, and personal impacts of the future. As our classrooms transform to meet the changing technological landscape, we remain at the frontier, ensuring our students emerge ready for whatever the coming decades may hold.

In the past two years, we have expanded significantly with a new Secondary facility; a large, flexible, technology-enabled learning space, a new Cafe, Food Technology and Visual Arts Centre, a purpose designed Language Centre and a cutting edge Industrial Technology Centre. Lakes College is continuing to grow and has big plans for the future.

We are in the Top 50 Queensland schools for NAPLAN results, and 100 percent of our Year 12 students have received OP 1-17 since our first graduates in 2013. Based in Brisbane's heart of the fast-growing North Lakes area, our co-educational College campus is a vibrant and happy place with boundless opportunities.
