What a Laserjet Enterprise Solution (LES) Planning Engineer does at HP:

• Act as Consultant/Subject Matter Expert in the domains of planning and production to the broader HP and Mpa audience.
• Leads solution design for mid- and long-term planning and production challenges based on deep business understanding.
• Leads planning and production Plan of Record, drives implementation according to plan.
• Leads communication regarding E2E planning and production performance during market share and quarter end.
• Leads planning and production business process documentation and BRD maintenance.
• Accountability for managing the optimal performance scoring considering responsiveness, predictability and cost.
• Translate mutually agreed planning and production strategies into tactical and operational actions.
• Present choice points for planning and production business challenges; short-, mid- and long-term
• Reduce MPa dependency on HP guidance.
• Coordinates multiple projects within a large scale program involving one or more functions driving the engineering development and implementation process for products or service offerings.
• Develops portions of support requirements for assigned project, including budgets, and resource allocation plans, in accordance with provided plan and specifications.
• Coordinates the activities of associated project teams; tracks progress against established plans, reports results, and makes recommendations for alterations or updates to program manager.
• Develops program communications, including creation of status reports and summaries, tracking escalations and resolutions of issues, coordinating stakeholder meetings and updates, and updating project and program plans.
• Leads resources across multiple projects.

Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Management, Engineering, Computer Sciences, or equivalent.
• Typically 2-4 years experience.
• Solid operational planning and factory background.
• Solid understanding of various planning and production methods.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural environment.
• Demonstrated understanding about the HP Print business and its priorities.
• Demonstrated presentation skills.
• Demonstrated project and process management t skills.
• Using project planning tools and software packages to create, manage, and track project results.
• Ability to apply analytical and problem solving skills.
• Understanding of organization and company product and service offering development process.
• Knowledge of project and program methodology, resource allocation plans, budgets, and requirements.
• Ability to effectively communicate manufacturing plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options.
