Manufacturing Systems Engineer - Test Development

Description -

What a Manufacturing Systems Engineer - Test Development does at HP?

  • Responsible in designing test solutions, debug and integration activities to develop manufacturing test scripts and tool drivers.
  • Work with product team to develop and implement parameters and test plans for new and existing solutions, including validation of mechanical, electrical, software, and other engineering specifications and requirements.
  • Support product build in various manufacturing phases to meet release to ramp, by identifying and creating production/process solutions.
  • Collaborates and communicates well with internal and external teams on engineering design and development.
  • Work on various projects to support evolution of manufacturing system software.
  • Work on enhancement/updates of manufacturing server system and software manufacturing tools.
  • Work on developing reliable, cost effective and high quality solutions for cost savings activities.
  • Represent the mechanical/test team for all phases of larger and more-complex development projects. Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members.

Individual who does well in this role in HP, usually possess:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, or other Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • Typically more than 3 years relevant experience.
  • Conversant in programming language such as TCL, VB, .NET.
  • Good to have SQL, python
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Adept at developing, understanding, analyzing and modifying scripts.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with ODMs and suppliers.
