Pricing Analytics - Business Analyst

Position background:
As Business analyst in the Pricing Analytics COE, you will shape HP’s future of how we market and price our products. We are a very dynamic, highly skilled and diverse global team, consisting of data scientists, economists, computer scientists, engineers, project managers, and product owners. Working with us you will combine your analytical & coding skills, economic/business thinking, stakeholder engagement and project management skills to help push the innovation frontier in the way HP sets prices for its products.
About you:
You are interested in customer and market behavior and methods to measure and anticipate it. Moreover:
- You are a data driven person, with a passion to identify patterns in the data, identify the root causes, and suggest solutions;
- You are passionate about coding, simplifying the complexity, automation and making processes more efficient;
- You are keen on building and maintaining contacts with users/ clients, data scientists, and project managers;
- You are never satisfied until a problem is solved;
Key responsibilities:
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and availability for analysis;
- Conduct data analysis to gain insights into business processes, performance, and trends;
- Identify opportunities to automate data analyses and streamline reporting;
- Leverage data science software like R as well as analytics/visualization tools like Excel, PowerBI and Tableau to transform raw data into meaningful insights;
- Monitor and analyze project performance, identifying areas of underperformance and recommending actionable improvements;
- Present the results and recommendations to the project team and contribute to the action plan for improvements;
- Be in contact with users, assess their feedback and propose path forwards on how to improve the possible solutions.
What we are looking for (Must-haves):
- At least 3 years’ working experience in business analysis, project management skills being a plus;
- Must be above intermediate in “R” and Python;
- Extensive knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint. PowerBI and Tableau is a must;
- Excellent analytical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to think creatively and suggest original solutions to business;
- Strong verbal and written communication/presentation skills;
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Business, Economics or any relevant field;
- English proficiency.
Nice to have:
- Interest in pricing, economics, and consumer behavior;
- Experience in deploying ML and data science solutions;
- Basic understanding of finance and product economics;
- Project management certifications: PMI, Agile.
