The Inside Presales Technical Consultants (or “TC” in short) play a critical role as trusted advisors to our customers and our sales people with technical answers and recommendations, plus consultancy and advice.

The Inside Presales Technical Consultant role is an entry level Technical Presales role in the GSS organization. The candidate is a new graduate with maximum 5 years of work experience in a similar position. This role provides technical presales support on the HP Commercial portfolio of Personal Systems products and solutions. The team provides support in 11 languages across all countries in Europe, Middle-East and Africa.

In this role the candidate will receive continuous face-to-face, hands-on and virtual trainings on technologies, HP’s leading products, solutions and services. Trainings will be held in Barcelona and abroad to develop skills and competencies on the latest and most current IT subject areas.

The ideal candidate should have a genuine passion for technology and understanding how it works. The candidate should speak French at high level. Since all internal communication, team meetings and training are in English, the candidate should speak English fluently. Speaking another European language at a good level is a big plus.

The Inside Presales Technical Consultant (TC) mission is to support sales opportunities by providing technical guidance via email, zoom and Teams, from a central location in Barcelona, to our end-user sales people on Personal Systems products, solutions and services. The TC will deliver technical and solution expertise in order to help our end-user sales teams to win business and provide an excellent level of total customer experience (TCE). The TC will also engage other technical resources (Presales organization, World Wide Divisional resources, etc) where needed.

Responsibilities:

· Provide technical recommendations, direction and guidance on HP Personal Systems products, solutions and services.

· Answering and tracking technical questions from internal customers.

· Present the advantages of HP’s Personal Systems products and solutions.

· Helping sales representatives to respond to customers’ requests for information, proposal and Quote (RFI, RFP, RFQ).

· Support sales opportunities with an in-depth or technical understanding of HP’s offering.

· Support on the status of technical and environmental regulations

· Deliver trainings to other departments about Personal Systems products and solutions.

· Raise and manage technical escalations on questions and technical issues which cannot be solved within the Inside Technical Consultants team.

· Provide proactive technical updates to the sales community supported.

· Maintain the quality of the service and the total customer experience (TCE).

· Maintain and manage a competitive and appropriate level of technical and professional competence.

Knowledge/Skills Required:

· Advanced level of spoken and written French and English. A good level in any other European language is a plus.

· Bachelor's (undergraduate) degree or equivalent experience preferably in a technical/engineering field or computer science.

· Current experience and knowledge of computer technologies, hardware, operating systems, software, networking technologies.

· Has good analytical, organizational and team skills, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

· Works on problems and projects and is detail and goal oriented.

· Is self-motivated and shows an ability to operate with minimal tactical direction.

· Motivated to search out knowledge and continuously learn.

· Typically, between 2-5 years of work experience.
 

Career path:

The Inside TC is an entry level function in the Presales TC community.

The role is for an intermediate Inside TC and gives possibilities to move to other roles in the team or in the country.
As possible evolution in the Inside TC team there is the possibility to become a Senior Inside TC or a Team Lead or a team Supervisor.

In the WW TC community, you can evolve to Expert team member or to Senior Country Field TC.

Other move to different departments in the company are for sure possible.
