Position Summary

  • Network Infrastructure Management:
    • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the WAN and LAN networks to ensure high availability, performance, and security.
    • Manage DNS (Domain Name System) and DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) services for reliable network address assignments and name resolution.
    • Implement and oversee SDN (Software-Defined Networking) solutions to enhance network agility, efficiency, and scalability.
    • Manage the network operations support team that includes Level 1 to Level 3 Network operations engineers
    • Ensure the day to day functionally is being supported to provide a stable, flexible, and available network for all customers.

  • Network Monitoring
    • Ensure network devices monitoring is being captured, acknowledge, and reported upon
    • Streamline network monitoring into a single pane of glass view
    • Create automated reporting on network health, outages, and status.
    • Create a network process for maintaining all network monitoring tools.
  • Team Leadership and Mentoring
    • Lead a team of network operations engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high-quality network operations.
    • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, encouraging professional growth and skill development within the team.
  • Metrics Analysis and Planning
    • Develop and implement performance metrics and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to evaluate network performance, reliability, and efficiency.
    • Utilize gathered metrics to identify areas for improvement and create strategic plans to optimize network infrastructure.
  • Network Stabilization and Problem Management
    • Proactively identify potential network issues and vulnerabilities, implementing solutions to prevent downtime or service disruptions.
    • Lead problem-solving initiatives, investigating and resolving complex network-related issues promptly and efficiently.

  • Change Control and Implementation:
    • Develop and enforce robust change control processes to manage network configuration modifications effectively.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement changes while minimizing impact on ongoing operations.

Review with the team the daily network changes and provide a workflow to ensure a high success rate for all approve network changes

Required Qualifications

  • Extensive experience (8+ years) in network infrastructure operations and management, with a proven track record of leading successful teams.
  • Deep understanding of WAN and LAN technologies, DNS/DHCP services, and SDN solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of network planning, performance metrics analysis, and strategic problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in implementing and managing change control processes within a dynamic network environment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and mentoring skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of an organization.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$140,000.00 - $280,000.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
