As a reflection of our continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity as a SVP, Finance.

The SVP of Finance will be responsible for developing and directing WellNow’s finance function and leading all financial reporting, financial management / cost control, financial planning and analysis, financial plans & policies, and financial analysis support. The SVP Finance will also report on metrics to optimize our growth by understanding where efficiencies exist to maximize scalability throughout the year. This role will partner directly with the President and other members of the Executive Leadership Team to ensure our operations remain on track to hit our financial and strategic objectives and key results.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead all financial activities of the company including deep partnership with the President.
  • Provide and present monthly, quarter, and annual financial results, management information, and forecasts to the Executive team and budget holders of designated functions
  • Drive financial planning and analysis (FPA) initiatives including budgeting/ forecasting, analytics, reporting with intent to maximize income, grow margin and manage risks, identifying areas for further growth and profit improvement.
  • Strategic partnership with TAG finance to ensure business plans are developed and executed to support the organization’s vision and growth.
  • Support solution development initiatives through investment analytics, underwriting, and commercial modeling.
  • Create and present regular management information to support and influence decision making.
  • Responsible for driving continuous improvement, identifying process improvements / issues, and driving changes (implemented by team) to deliver continual improvement across the finance team.
  • Identify, innovate, and implement improvements to management reporting.
  • Actively collaborate and lead colleagues to contribute to the development and delivery of strategic and operational plans.


  • Experience of implementing and improving exceptional finance systems and processes is also required, including expert skills in excel.
  • 10+ years of financial management experience.
  • Experience working in a growing retail healthcare environment strongly preferred.
  • Experience in a B2C business that sells services to consumers, especially largely through physical retail locations (e.g. health care services, veterinary, restaurants, banking / financial services, repair / maintenance such as auto)
  • Experience leading finance or a large portion of it for a business that has undergone a major operational transformation or turnaround that directly involved the finance team’s work.
  • Experience running an operational finance team, that is responsible for creating and managing all of the financial reporting about a business, identifying financial trends and their underlying operational drivers
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business. CPA and/or CMA preferred but not required.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines.
  • Merger and acquisition finance experience a plus.
  • Adept in fiscal management principles and processes, including resource management and needs assessment

Role will require regular travel (at least monthly) to Chicago.

$300k+ bonus
