JOB PURPOSE

  • Be accountable for the financial performance of CHC Egypt & Sudan perimeter.
  • Be the strategic partner to the business leader.
  • Be accountable for a brands Category financial performance as a transverse role for Africa Zone, and be a key partner to the Zone Category Lead.
  • Be exposed to a very dynamic environment, working in close partnership with local Business team members.

KEY RESULTS/ACCOUNTABILITIES

Be a Business Partner for business leader

  • Support Business Leader in their decision-making process based on sound judgment, finance expertise and business acumen,
  • Be a member of the local CHC Leadership Team,
  • Support global CHC business and finance projects as local point of contact,
  • Drive cash flow optimization initiatives at local level and management/monitoring of stock in trade
  • Provide Category growth team with analysis and evaluation of business costs and opportunities for improvements, Partner with brands teams on product changes.

Focus on Financial Performance

  • Provide to the leadership team accurate, timely and relevant financial data and key metrics,
  • Drive the Monthly Performance Reviews: monitor business performance vs set targets and defined KPIs, gaps vs. plan
  • Lead the reconciliation forum to align S&OP proposals between Commercial Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Affaires and ensure alignment with CHC country / zone’s ambitions,
  • Category: Manage P&L per brand: follow up the evolution of the brand P&L to support the business performance and ensure the right return on investments. Carry responsibility for efficient cost allocation and optimization. Evaluate brand & category performance in terms of Sales, Pricing, Operating expenses… Undertake analysis on performance vs. budget and market trends including share of voice/share of spend and provide recommended actions to stakeholders.  

Lead budget & forecasts

  • Drive the reviews with regional finance teams, challenge Business assumptions, identify risks and opportunities and ensure strategic alignment between Commercial Business, Industrial Affairs, Supply Chain and Financial Operations
  • Challenge Business assumptions and ensure consistency of the forecasts from a finance standpoint

Perform other finance tasks

  • Accountable for the control environment (assessing risks and performing controls) over their local areas of responsibility and fully aware of internal control requirements (“guardian of the rules”), with the capability to raise concerns to Internal Control
  • Share and implement finance best practices and focus on simplification to limit the workload and focus on performance
  • Identify and request or perform Masterdata management in systems
  • Lead ad hoc projects

KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

  • Finance teams (Zone, Region, IA, BA&C), Business teams (GM, ZCL, Marketing), Supply Chain

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree qualified in a finance and accounting or a related business discipline and / or a professional accounting qualification
  • Strong rigor and ability to multi-task and to organize, manage and prioritize deadlines
  • Display agility skillset to operate in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Collaborative, highly proactive and assertive attitude, commitment to excellence, and ability to interact and communicate appropriately with numerous stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to combine and present complex information in a simple manner

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Minimum years of financial experience: 5

Solid performance track record (ratings of 5 / 6 / 8 / 9)

Good level of knowledge and experience of Sanofi systems (HFM, SAP)
