What you'll do...

As a Distinguished Technical Program Manager for Engineering Excellence at Walmart Global Tech, you will be instrumental in leading and shaping the future of our engineering initiatives. This role requires a unique blend of technical acumen, leadership skills, and strategic thinking, as you will collaborate closely with engineering leadership to drive innovation and excellence across the organization.

The Enterprise People Technology team supports the successful deployment and adoption of new People technology across the enterprise. What you'll do:

  • Strategic Leadership: Work in close partnership with engineering leadership to define and lead major engineering initiatives that align with the organization's strategic objectives.
  • Initiative Development: Identify and develop organization-wide engineering initiatives, ensuring they are innovative, achievable, and aligned with business goals.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Facilitate collaboration across different engineering teams and departments to ensure cohesive and effective implementation of engineering strategies.
  • Program Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering initiatives, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Innovation and Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities for innovation and improvement in engineering practices, tools, and processes.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with key stakeholders across the organization to communicate progress, gather feedback, and ensure alignment on engineering initiatives.
  • Mentorship and Team Building: Foster a culture of excellence and innovation within the engineering team, providing mentorship and guidance to team members.


What you'll bring:

  • Proven experience in technical program management, with a strong focus on engineering and technology.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale engineering initiatives in a complex organization.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00-$260,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.

Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:

- Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)

- Stock equity incentives

Minimum Qualifications...
