The product operations team at Salesforce is responsible for the tools, processes, and data that enable the product team to convert strategy into product deliverables and evaluate the success of our investments. As a senior leader in Salesforce’s Product Operations team, you will have a wide range of responsibilities to drive and support the rhythm of the Technology & Products calendar, planning operations, and operational strategy for processes and tools supporting planning and development.

This position will own and drive the evolution and improvement of our planning, portfolio management, and roadmapping processes and tools. You will develop relationships with senior leadership within the Technology & Products organization, and with key stakeholders across the Company. 

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead definition and evolution of planning and delivery rhythms across 7+ business units and over 18K employees

  • Drive alignment of people, process and technology initiatives by partnering closely with executive leaders in product management, operations, program management, and other organizations in Technology & Products

  • Drive overall plan for organization-wide product portfolio planning and management tools.

  • Define and drive improvements in the processes and systems supporting product roadmap transparency across stakeholders inside and outside of the Product organization. 

  • Define and drive governance processes around critical data sets essential to product operations. 

  • Lead ad hoc special projects, such as representing Product in work with consulting firms for transformation, internal event management

  • Lead & manage a small team 

Experience required

  • 10+ years of experience working in Product Operations, Technical Program Management, Product Management and/or Product Development 

  • 5+ years of experience motivating and leading high-performing teams

  • Experience using and/or implementing Portfolio management tools and design and end-to-end Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC)

  • Experience driving innovation across complex organizations 

  • Self-motivated and driven to independently identify, drive and garner support for cross-organizational initiatives 

  • Significant experience driving organizational transformation in a matrixed R&D organization

  • Demonstrated strong relationship-building with teams and leaders at all levels of the organization

  • Excellent communication both verbal and written

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $216,900 to $330,800.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
