Your Role and Responsibilities
This position resides in Markham, ON and is a 16 month work term commencing in May 2024. It is mandatory that all applicants are enrolled in full-time studies at a post-secondary institution and returning to full-time studies upon completion of the work-term.
Work with our team of product managers to help grow the watsonx Code Assistant portfolio. Product Management interns are part of a small entrepreneurial team delivering projects working alongside development and design peers. You will work with cutting edge IBM technologies such as watsonx, and engage with IBM Research on the technology of tomorrow.

Responsibilities include:
  • Market, user, and competitive research.
  • Prototyping and User Testing
  • Working directly with development and design colleagues to design and deliver new capabilities.
Successful IBM Product Management Interns:
  • Demonstrate a growth mindset and continuous learning; stay current on IBM strategies and products with hands on technical growth in data science and Generative AI.
  • Be conversant and knowledgeable about technology trends and how technology is being applied to address business challenges.
  • Demonstrate strong analytic, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills combined with an agile process.
  • Motivated to lead successful projects and meet technical and business objectives.
  • Strong professional verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.


Required Technical and Professional Expertise
    • Pursuing bachelor’s degree or post-secondary degree in Technology or Business field
    • Must be eligible to work 16 months starting in May


Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Experience with Data Science, AI/ML, Generative AI
  • Programming/Coding experience
  • Registered in a formal co-op/internship program.
  • Registered in a formal co-op/internship program
