The Sector Operations Finance Lead is a key role in the Finance organization responsible for sector-wide financial analysis, reporting and special projects. This position is responsible for the consolidation and analysis of the sector balance sheet, P&L, and will lead the forecasting process and oversight for the business areas within the sector. In addition, this position will support the monthly and quarterly business reviews while acting as the sector management and finance liaison. You will play an important part in coordinating with business area teams on our Strategic Plan. This role reports directly to the National Security Sector Director of FP&A and will also support the National Security Sector Chief Financial Officer and Group President on special projects.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide support and expertise to the Business Areas’ financial planning and analysis teams.

  • Collaborate with management Sector-wide to create forward looking financial projections for cash and provide accompanying analysis.

  • Collaborate with Business Areas on M&A and acquisition integrations

  • Act as Finance lead for National Security Sector special projects

  • Provide recommendations and execute plans to improve financial processes and improve Sector business process capabilities

  • Track performance against key AOP metrics such revenue, EBITDA, and operational cash flow

  • Perform data reconciliation and consolidation, as well as variance analysis.

  • Perform multiple financial cost analysis functions, including cost allocation, setting up cost control systems, collecting data, controlling costs and preparing reports that maintain the company's cost accounting system.

  • Lead analysis of projects that deliver key insights for making critical business decisions.

  • Apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports.

  • Support key weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting deliverables that track and communicate the performance of the business’s key metrics.

  • Act as Finance lead for M&A Due Diligence

  • Provide support to the organization in all audits, reviews, data requests, etc. during the current quarter and fiscal year.

  • Directly interface with various functions within the National Security Sector and serves as a key liaison and resource to various stakeholders.

  • Lead long-term strategic planning, including process development, presentation creation, and partnering between finance and strategy. 

  • Ad-hoc business performance reporting.

  • Identify and communicate areas of concern to both business area and financial leadership when identified in a timely manner.

  • Support the National Security leadership team with data-driven analysis.

  • Perform business case and ROI analysis.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 15+ years of prior relevant experience in Operations Finance or Masters with 13+ years of prior relevant experience.

  • Proficient with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

  • Expertise in quantitative analysis and presentations. 

  • Ability to effectively communicate with Sector leadership regarding matters of significant importance to the organization.

  • Familiarity with the Hyperion Financial Reporting tool.

  • Ability to effectively provide direction and oversight to the Business Areas finance teams.

  • Candidate must possess excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with internal customers.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $131,300.00 - $237,350.00

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
