JOB SUMMARY: This role will lead the team to drive monetization of the leagues and international sporting events by crafting product and revenue strategy including pricing, analytics, GTM and customer strategy; creating customised solutions and impactful associations for brands both on ground and on-air and working closely with sales and clients to achieve the revenue target. The leader will work closely with clients and agencies to drive the sales pitches, onboard clients and ensure delivery of impact associations. The role involves extensive collaboration with frontline sales, content, marketing, league owners etc to lead the team and deliver on revenue maximization agenda.

ABOUT THE TEAM: Star Sports is the largest sports broadcaster in the country, and we have over the years exponentially grown the reach and engagement on sports viewership across the nation. This role will lead the Product & Revenue Strategy as well as Brand Solutions verticals aligned with all non-cricket properties such as Pro-Kabaddi League, Wimbledon, Premier League etc. This role will spearhead the revenue maximization agenda for the Sports Ad Sales team by leveraging the unique selling proposition of each of the non-cricket marquee properties and create long term product & pricing strategy for the portfolio.

KEY RESPONSBILITIES:

Product & Revenue Strategy

  • Lead the product and pricing strategy for all non-cricket properties that involves revenue planning, pricing plans & product packages covering all monetizable assets
  • Innovate and create deal constructs and packages to maximise revenue keeping changing customer needs.
  • Building value around properties and establishing client ROI through product innovation, customer solutions and measurement/attribution.
  • Understanding the sporting ecosystem and sports monetisation to identify and create new monetization opportunities
  • Provide strategic inputs based on consumer insights, competitor evaluation and dynamic environment to help create effective sales pitches.

Integrated Brand Solutions & Branded Content

  • Drive best-in-class branded content ideas across the non-cricket properties as well as Star Sports social media through leveraging content marketing and storytelling strategy.
  • Demonstrate thought leadership to strengthen and establish the Branded Content and Solutions product proposition as a key revenue driver in the Star Sports ecosystem.
  • Oversee execution of sponsorship deliverables across on-ground, on-air, digital & social assets.
