What you'll do:

  • Lead and manage the completeness and accuracy of various assigned VP portfolios in a timely manner
  • Work with business partners to create accurate and detailed monthly forecasts and annual budgets
  • Analyze, identify, and recommend operational improvement initiatives and systems modifications to increase productivity and efficiency within the department
  • Mentor and coach team members in achieving their goals and IDPs, provide feedback and address any performance issues or mentor team members to become the organization’s next generation of management
  • Support Senior Management with the development and implementation of strategic business initiatives
  • Develop strong cross-functional partnerships and relationships to support key critical initiatives as needed
  • Assist with ad-hoc and cross-functional projects and initiatives as required
  • Building and leading diverse teams that foster a workplace of inclusiveness and belonging 
  • Manage major IT contracts - Their allocation, prepaid balances and any timing accruals that may be needed
  • Complete periodic balance sheet reconciliations


What you bring: 

  • A Post-Secondary education in Finance or related field is required; experience working in a fast-paced environment, particularly corporate and/or retail will be considered an asset
  • Minimum of 5 years' finance or accounting experience
  • Professional Finance Designations such as CPA-CMA; or MBA preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to bring together and manage interactions with employees from across the organization
  • Proven People Management and Coaching skills
  • Strong business acumen, with an ability to focus on continuous improvement
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Results Oriented and Critical Thinking skills
  • Advanced Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite specifically Excel
  • Familiarity with SAP and MicroStrategy will be an asset
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
