Group Strategic Analytics (GSA) is part of Group Chief Operation Office (COO) which acts as the bridge between the Bank’s businesses and infrastructure functions to help deliver the efficiency, control, and transformation goals of the Bank.

GSA is a cross-business team that provides expertise, solutions, and platforms to solve quantitative and modelling challenges across the Deutsche Bank group.

You will be joining the Platform Strats team within GSA, analysing, building, and delivering applications to solve quantitative and/or front-to-back problems. You will be in a cross-functional team building functionality on the strategic cross-business Risk and Profit & Loss (P&L) platform and, to a lesser extent, supporting change on the legacy tech stack.

Your key responsibilities

  • Working in a cross-functional agile team focused on delivering robust, reliable, and performant solutions
  • Analysing problems and architecting/designing solutions to build new components and evolve existing components and functionality using Python
  • Communicating with stakeholders to understand their requirements
  • Joining the rota to support maintaining the system in production
  • Participating in product delivery process alignment and improvement
  • Providing technical and business direction for team members and management of deliveries

Your skills and experience

  • Educated to Bachelor’s degree level or equivalent qualification/relevant work experience
  • Strong experience of server-side development in Python, including multi-threading
  • Experience developing front-office banking applications
  • Understanding of derivatives products, risk, P&L, and market data
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and partner teams to deliver robust and viable solutions
  • Experience using Git, BitBucket, JIRA, Confluence, Grafana, Oracle, and Structured Query Language (SQL) Developer
