Hybrid role – Crawley (with the expectation of 3 days in the office)

Our Opportunity 

Thales SIX UK have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Head of Bid & Project Manager professional to join the SIX Country Business Unit.

Projects & Bids will be centred around the provision of Land & Security and Naval Communications for both Commercial and Defence customer.

You will be responsible for providing overarching functional support and guidance. As well as being accountable for the delivery of successful bids and projects for the domain.

Other key tasks/responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring bid and project teams use the processes and frameworks available to them to drive successful outcomes

  • Drive the continued improvement of the function, including responsibility for the local processes in line with Group and UK Policies

  • Responsibility for the recruitment of staff to the B&PM function

  • Responsibility for the application of effective reporting and governance of bids and projects, to improve delivery performance and customer satisfaction

  • Provide support in the delivery of the Operations of the SIX organisation.

About You

We are looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic individual with the ability to form effective working relationships across the business and our Bid &Project Management communities within Thales. In addition to this, we are also looking for:

  • An individual who holds a record of accomplishment of leading a Bid &Project Management function in a complex business-management context.

  • Extensive knowledge of the full business lifecycle management, including capture, qualification, developing capture plans, and winning strategies.

  • A strong capability to develop and deploy overarching business unit strategies for the performance of B&PM people, processes and tools.

  • Passionate about coaching and development for managers and future leaders.

  • Experience of strong financial management and ensuring delivery to or ahead of budgets.
