Job Summary:

The EO/IR Team at Raytheon have a deep heritage in developing electro-optical/infrared sensing, communications for space, air, ground, sea and undersea environments. This position entails working in multi-disciplined, multi-functional integrated product teams to either design, develop, test, and/or integrate complex state-of-the-art EO systems.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Requires advanced to expert knowledge of Digital, Mixed-Signal (or comparable hardware), and Power Conversion design typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
  • May have broad knowledge of project management. Requires substantial knowledge of RTX projects & programs

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum of 8 years of experience in Digital, Mixed-Signal (or comparable hardware), and Power Conversion design and testing, with a relevant Bachelor's Degree
  • Experienced leadership with schematic capture, block diagrams, and parts lists for complex electronics.
  • Experience with VHDL or Verilog
  • Hands-on experience with, and leading others in, the testing of electronic products using high-speed oscilloscopes, signal generators, waveform generators, and FPGA debugging tools.
  • Proven experience with design tools (Spice, Schematic/Layout Design Software, MATLAB, ADS as examples).
  • Extensive experience with block diagrams, parts lists and design review packages for complex digital electronics and/or experience with analog electronics.
  • Demonstrated experience in designs implementing ADCs, DACs, FPGAs, Transceivers, RAM/Memory, RF and communications devices (Ethernet, Fiber Optic, and other high-speed communications).
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience designing, troubleshooting, and testing electronics for Airborne Surveillance EO Electronics with attendant weight, power and size requirements.
  • Electrical Design and analysis with Mentor Graphics.
  • Image Processing of Color and Monochrome sensor data
  • Demonstrated Project Lead Engineering skills, including Earned Value Management.
  • Working knowledge for Bit-Error-Rate (BERT) testing/analysis and Signal Integrity analysis and design tools.
  • Possess skills to handle fast pace and dynamic product development environment.
  • Strong team player with good interpersonal skills as well as good written/verbal communication skills.
