Job Summary:

In Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) we integrate, verify, and validate our products. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. To accomplish this we develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work hand-in-hand with our customers.

This position is responsible for the development and testing of engineering hardware and software supporting multiple programs and customers.  It requires a variety of skill sets which include:

  • Successful integration and testing of unmanned aircraft
  • Collaboration in a lab environment to refine system operations
  • Participation in Consent to Ship (CTS), Test Readiness Review  (TRR), and Engineering Safety Review Boards (ESRB) to ensure procedures are in place for testing success
  • Requires travel to external test sites to conduct flight testing

Responsibilities to anticipate:

  • You will operate customer and company owned unmanned aircraft
  • Once certified, you will act as a UAV flight instructor for training classes
  • Coordinate and conduct UAV flight testing, training and demo flights
  • Interact with customers, technical and production staff as required for testing operations

Basic Qualifications:

  • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
  • Minimum of five years of experience in UAV flight operations
  • UAV technical experience as a pilot required
  • Experience in Piccolo Autopilot
  • Ability to obtain US Government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM)
  • Part 107 UAS certification
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Instructor experience highly desired
  • Top Secret security clearance desired
  • Have and maintain an FAA Medical Certificate, Second Class
  • Be able to lift and move equipment more than 50 lbs.
  • Travel may be required
