Position Summary

The Federal Employee Plan (FEP) is one of the largest CVS Health PBM clients.   The FEP Manager of Business Analytics provides technical, analytical, and business support for the FEP Account team. 

The Manager of Business Analytics serves as the authority for FEP program data, trend analysis, contractual guaranteed metrics, and client adhoc data requests.  The role assists in creating and maintaining, daily, weekly, quarterly, and annual client reports, supports audits for internal teams and external agencies, and year round quality assurance testing and processes.  As new programs, benefits, processes, and technology are deployed, the Manager of Business Analytics incorporates these changes into current reporting and helps initiate corrective actions to resolve any issues.  The role is engaged in all functions of FEP operations, with particular emphasis on solving complex problems, leading and performing analytics, executive presentations, and solution ideation.  The Manager of Business Analytics works closely with business partners across the organization to understand the business, solve problems, and present recommendations to FEP team leadership. 

As part of the FEP Account Team, the role will be responsible for developing and maintaining solutions related to key performance indicators, service warranties, and performance guarantees.  The FEP Account Team has produced millions of dollars are savings and increased revenue through client value proposition and in support of Company strategies.  With the current roadmap to continue to build on these value added initiatives the Manager of Business Analytics will be involved in:

  • Transforming existing processes, analytics, and reporting to a cloud environment.
  • Re-imagining and re-engineering existing processes from legacy tools to more robust, modern, and transparent applications.
  • Revamping current reporting to provide the business analytics needed by the client in a more efficient and effective manner

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience in SQL query generation
  • 2+ years analytical skills and proven ability to use data & analytics to uncover root causes and drive decision-making
  • 2+ years experience working with healthcare pharmacy/medical claims data (Pharmacy claims experience preferred)
  • 2+ years working with quality control and testing methodology

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with common analytic toolsets (Python, R, Excel/Power Query).  Working knowledge of Python is preferred.
  • Experience working with extremely large and highly nuanced data sets
  • Ability to collaborate and actively engage in the determination of requirements, solution design, and development efforts
  • Flexible and capable of prioritizing competing tasks, timelines, and work streams
  • Demonstrated knowledge with data visualization toolsets (Tableau, Power BI, Excel, Python, etc.)
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented, responsible, and dependable with the ability to work efficiently in a collaborative manner

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred / specialized training / relevant professional qualification

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$60,300.00 - $130,000.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
