Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens is looking for a Manager in Training (MIT) - in Rooms Division!

Position Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our team as a Manager in Training (MIT) in the Rooms Division. The MIT will be involved in various aspects of room operations, reservations, and guest services.

Program Overview: The MIT program is an 18-month Rotational Program focused on learning and developing functional management skills in a variety of situations so that we can assess their ability and possibly to promote YOU to Assistant Manager at the end of the program.

THE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous experience in the Rooms Division or hospitality industry is required.
  • Strong interest in and passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
  • Knowledge of reservation systems and general hotel operations.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and related computer programs.
  • EU Citizenship is required.

THE MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Front Office Operations:

  • Assist in overseeing front desk operations, ensuring a seamless check-in and check-out process.
  • Learn and implement procedures for handling guest inquiries, requests, and complaints.
  • Work with the Front Office team to maintain high standards of guest services.

2. Concierge & Guest Experience:

  • Handles all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible;
  • Resolves customer complaints;
  • Assists customers in all inquiries in connection with hotel services, hours of operations, key hotel personnel, in-house events, directions, etc.
  • Responds to all guest requests in an accurate and timely manner making recommendations based on local knowledge and hotel practices.

3. Housekeeping:

  • Coordinate with the housekeeping department to ensure rooms are cleaned and maintained to high standards.
  • Assist in managing room inventory and coordinating with housekeeping for timely turnover.

4. Guest Services:

  • Be available to personally welcome and escort VIP, Special attention and extended stay guests, and offer to act as a point of contact for any requests they may have during their stay.
  • Personally engage with guests throughout the hotel in the lobby, outlets, by the Pool or over the phone to gain feedback on their stay and ascertain how we can make them more comfortable.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a Rooms Division or hospitality role is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt and learn in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
  • Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences.
