Job Description:

Parsons’ construction capabilities complement our engineering and design experience by delivering innovative, safe, and sustainable civil infrastructure around the world. We employ construction professionals with expertise in building major highways, bridges, tunnels, airports, rail, and water and wastewater treatment plants. In today’s rapidly evolving alternative project delivery and design build markets, Parsons offers extraordinary career opportunities based on our existing projects and backlog; financial strength; bonding capacity; and inclusive design, construction engineering, and construction services — all under one roof. Parsons constructs world-class infrastructure.

This job position is part of the Antarctic Infrastructure and Modernization for Science (AIMS) project. This is an initiative of the National Science Foundation’s (NSF) United States Antarctic Program (USAP) and is a major capital investment effort to support the United States’ world-class science program in Antarctica. The infrastructure modernization being proposed under the AIMS project is to ensure that McMurdo Station remains a viable platform for supporting Antarctic science for the next 35 to 50 years. Parsons is the designer and builder for the Antarctic Infrastructure Improvement (AIMS) efforts under the Antarctic Support Contract with the National Science Foundation. You will be involved in the largest construction project ever performed on the continent of Antarctica.

You will work on-site at McMurdo Station during the austral summer season from October to March. You will deploy through New Zealand to Antarctica and will be part of the on-site management team to deliver this flagship project for the NSF and the United States during site activities.
