Job Description

At EY, you’ll have the chance to build a career as unique as you are, with the global scale, support, inclusive culture and technology to become the best version of you. And we’re counting on your unique voice and perspective to help EY become even better, too. Join us and build an exceptional experience for yourself, and a better working world for all.

EY Assurance services — comprising Audit, Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS), Forensic & Integrity Services (Forensics) and Climate / Sustainability Services — address risk and complexity while identifying opportunities to enhance trust and confidence in business and the capital markets. EY Audit furthers the public interest by proactively addressing stakeholders’ needs for trust and confidence in the capital markets.

Together, EY Assurance services protect and promote sustainable, long-term value for stakeholders. Clients require greater insight from the services provided, while regulators and the capital markets want greater assurance over a wider range of measures and a deeper sense of trust across the business world. And EY people want more varied experiences and opportunities to add greater value.

The opportunity

Note: This role can be recruited at Senior Manager or Manager rank depending on candidate's skills and qualifications.

The Global Audit Methodology and Enablement (M&E) team is charged with driving global Audit Quality initiatives to ensure audit and assurance engagement quality is the single most important dimension for decision-making, the professional responsibility we hold each other accountable for and the key measure that our reputation stands. Within M&E, the Enablement sub-team aims to enhance engagement quality through the development, implementation, and maintenance of Global Assurance enablement.

Your key responsibilities

This role is responsible for collaborating with members of M&E to develop and revise the EY assurance enablement relevant to the execution of an EY assurance engagement, primarily the enablement delivered to and through EY Canvas. In addition, the role assists Area/Country Professional Practice and Content Management Groups and those in a quality role for their service line in the development of EY Canvas enablement for their country and/or service line.

The role will also work closely with the Enablement Deployment Leader on various Neon initiatives, converting concepts to implemented solutions.

Due to the amount of interaction needed with the M&E team and Enablement Deployment Leader, the role must be in a time zone within 6 hours of US EST. Willingness to work virtually, travel globally and to work extended hours to meet the responsibilities of the role are essential.

To make that happen, this role includes applying an existing robust understanding and knowledge of the firm’s technologies, business, audit methodology, and policies, organizational structure, and operations to effectively develop globally suitable enablement.

  • In-depth understanding of EY Canvas functionality and content (e.g., Canvas tasks and forms)
  • Interest in use of technology to improve firmwide execution of audits
  • Ability to understand concepts and business requirements to develop and implement solutions
  • Ability to clearly present solutions to stakeholders
  • High attention to detail and capable of complex logical thinking to develop and test enablement solutions to be delivered via EY Canvas
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, a related discipline or equivalent work experience

  • CPA or CA (or similar credential)

What we look for
