The Role:  

The PC Optimum Marketing team is looking for a Manager, Lifecycle Marketing. Someone who sets the bar high. A digital marketing specialist, hat juggler, to-do list junky, an expert in getting it done faster, smarter and more efficiently by putting the customer at the center of every decision they make. One of the biggest loyalty programs comes with one of the biggest member databases in Canada, and we are looking for someone to understand our members, identify key insights and build strategies to keep them engaged across their lifecycle. 

 

Accountabilities: 

This role is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of marketing strategies, programs and campaign activities that contribute to the growth and sustained engagement of the PC Optimum: 

  • Handle the end-to-end channel management of lifecycle campaigns across a variety of owned digital channels (email, mobile push, SMS, and paid media). 

  • Collaborate within marketing team, cross-functional teams (eg. Loblaw Agency on developing creative, and Digital Messaging on technical builds and deployment), plus, external partners to ensure flawless, executional excellence of plans and programs 

  • Manage weekly communications to members, integrate and support ‘big bet’ enterprise campaigns within CRM channels, plus, support partnership initiatives via owned channels.  

  • Lead ongoing monitoring and reporting of member and channel activity with analysis, insights and recommendations 

  • Develop strategies to segment, target and drive specific behaviours amongst the member base 

  • Design and implement testing plans for continuous optimizations 

  • Manage two direct reports (Associate Manager and Specialist) 

  • Bring new insights to the table to improve current and future marketing initiatives 

  • Driven by working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment that continually advances the business and brands through design thinking and agile processes. 

  • Develop and deliver customer-focused and insightful creative briefs that inspire internal and external agencies 

  • Handle projects through all internal processes ensuring all projects are organized and on track 

  • Contribute to the achievement of business objectives, brand objectives, strategies and KPI’s 

 

Role Requirements: 

  • University or college degree in business, marketing or an equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job 

  • 4-6 years of meaningful work experience in brand management, marketing or advertising (lifecycle marketing experience strongly preferred) 

  • Experience, understanding and continual curiosity in the space of digital marketing platforms, innovation and consumer engagement 

  • Strategic and results-oriented individual with strong analytical skills 

  • Proactive individual with strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple and sophisticated projects. Strategic results-oriented individual with strong analytical skills 

  • Good judgment and experience in the development of creative/communications 

  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence others 

  • Experience in Loyalty and/or retail preferred
