Description

As Healthcare Quality Reporting and Improvement (HQRI) Operational Text Mining (OTM) team, we build text-mining engines and machine learning models to support Risk Adjustment and Stars. We also build web applications to support the Risk Adjustment workflow.

Responsibilities

In this role, as a senior software engineer in HQRI-OTM team, you will have the opportunity to develop an AI-enabled web applications that integrate our text-mining engines and machine learning models to support Risk Adjustment and Stars activities. You will collaborate closely with Medicare risk adjustment team to improve the web application to meet their new business goals.

• Work with Medicare risk adjustment and Stars teams and implement new features to meet their business goals

• Develop and maintain web applications, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.

• Design and implement front-end interfaces using modern web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, ensuring a seamless user experience.

• Develop server-side logic using frameworks such as Django, integrating with databases, APIs.

• Perform unit and integration testing to ensure the quality and reliability of web applications.

• Collaborate with the DevOps team to deploy and maintain web applications in production environments.

• This role is Hybrid Home – Candidates will need to come into the office once or twice per week

               

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, related field or equivalent work experience

• 3+ years of technical proven experience as a Full Stack Web Software Engineer, delivering web applications from conception to deployment.

• Strong proficiency in front-end web development technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks such as Vue.js.

• Solid understanding of back-end development principles and proficiency in server-side language/framework like Django

• Experience working with databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL)

• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and modern development workflows (e.g., Agile, Scrum).

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Must live within a commutable distance to the office in Louisville, KY (must be willing to relocate to accommodate the workstyle)

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

• Understanding of security best practices and common vulnerabilities in web applications.

• Proficiency in understanding Healthcare related data.

• Experience with performance optimization techniques and tools.

Location:

The workstyle for this role will be hybrid home/office and located in the downtown Louisville, Ky office. Candidate must live within a commutable distance to the office and/or be willing to relocate to Louisville, KY (if not currently).

WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense. A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.  Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role. A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.
