Maintenance Supervisor - Weekend Day Shift

Friday, Saturday & Sunday (6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.)

VF Outdoor

Martinsville, VA

Under the general direction of the Maintenance Manager, this person will lead the maintenance shift and perform a variety of general, detailed, and highly technical maintenance and service functions on equipment, systems, and facilities at the distribution center.

What you will do: Respond to trouble-calls from maintenance personnel and operations that they cannot resolve on all types of equipment and apply a high level of cause/effect analysis for breakdown troubleshooting. Provide leadership to correct issues and promote team building. Work with the other maintenance shifts to provide operational up time and reliability. Maintain maintenance software systems to support the maintenance group.

What success looks like: Successfully achieve goals of the facility. Lead the daily shift activities of the maintenance team. Set clear and measurable goals for maintenance associates on the shift team on a daily/monthly/yearly basis.

Skills for Success

Years of related professional experience: 8+ years

  • High school diploma or equivalent and training certifications in electrical/ electronic control. Associate degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years related maintenance experience in electrical/electronic troubleshooting and repairs, or 5 years’ experience with an associate degree in Electrical/Electronics.
  • 7 years’ experience with PLC programming (Allen Bradley).
  • 5 years supervising experience in maintenance.
  • Must have previous work experience in a high paced industrial/mechanical environment
  • Must have knowledge of warehouse systems, to Include WMS or PKMS
  • Must have understanding of OSHA standards and regulations
  • Must demonstrate ability to be very detailed oriented, organized, and effective at time management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal direction; excellent oral/written communication skills; excellent people skills; excellent computer skills with office software knowledge.
  • Must have the ability to climb and work at heights of up to 50 feet
  • Must have the ability to lift items up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work overtime and weekends as assigned; may be on call on off hours for emergency consultation or call-in service

What we expect you already know: Proven proficiency at an expert or senior level in Electrical/Electronic equipment, and full capability to perform a broad range of electro-mechanical repairs. Preferred experience working with conveyor systems, high-speed sortation, and excellent leadership ability.

Hiring Range:

$56,672.00 USD - $70,840.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
