The Manager, Marketing Analytics drives Vans’ Global MMM/MROI program with the goal to achieve continued gains in earned profitable revenue. You will partner with and support global and regional marketing teams, and collaborate with data and analytics experts within Vans, VF’s central functions and external agencies to deliver robust marketing mix models.

In this consultative role, you will ensure that insights derived from these models are effectively communicated and actionable throughout the organization, which includes identifying meaningful revenue opportunities and risks, and informing strategic demand creation choices to support seasonal and annual budget planning.

You possess strong analytical and story-telling skills, vendor management experience, a deep understanding of marketing principles, and the ability to take part in digital and data upskilling to help the organization develop a data-informed approach to strategic marketing decisions.

How You Will Make a Difference

What you will do:

  • In partnership with Marketing, manage delivery of the global MMM/MROI program cycles across all regions (APAC, EMEA and Americas) by an external analytics provider. Ensure insights are accurate and actionable.
  • Engage directly with data providers (internal and external) to ensure Vans receives required inputs for ongoing analysis.
  • In partnership with Vans’ Global Data Steward, Global Marketing and VF central teams, develop and maintain appropriate marketing data governance standards to ensure taxonomy alignment and modeling consistency. Educate, align, and support global and regional teams—including marketing, finance, and agency partners—in the adoption of standard marketing data classification, categorization, and methodologies.
  • In partnership with Marketing leadership, facilitate regular presentations of implications and recommendations from MMM/MROI results to key decision makers and other stakeholders.
  • Provide ongoing reporting and consultation to Vans’ global and regional Marketing teams and support Marketing leadership in engagements with Vans executive teams.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for data security regulatory action and brand implications (CCPA, GDPR, PIPL). Ensure that Vans’ data activation strategies are compliant and effectively adopting to the complexity of a dynamic landscape.

How you will do it:

  • Partner closely with global and regional marketing teams, as well as finance, analytics, and data governance partners, ensuring proper synchronization of market-level data inputs between local teams.
  • Collaborate closely with Global and Regional Marketing teams to ensure familiarity of marketing goals, seasonal campaign plans, and priorities.
  • Coordinate and manage external and internal partners along all stages of the MMM/MROI program cycle.
  • Coordinate with VF’s central data & analytics teams to ensure seamless data integration for modeling purposes.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationship with external MMM/MROI vendor. Manage contracts, timelines, deliverables, and budget allocation for vendor projects. Ensure vendor’s modeling methodologies align with Vans’ goals and standards.
  • Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders across the organization with the goal to enable marketing and commercial teams to shape investment and optimization strategies.
  • Work closely with the marketing teams to ensure that insights are implemented effectively in campaign planning and execution.
  • Partner with the Manager, Digital Analytics to ensure consistency between long-term MMM/MROI predictions and short-term digital signals within the eCommerce channel.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and methodologies in marketing analytics and modeling.

  • Effective stewardship of Vans’ MMM/MROI program that delivers actionable insights and informs global and regional marketing investment strategies that, ultimately, drive global revenue and profit.

Skills for Success

Years of Related Professional Experience: 5+ years

Educational Position Requirements:

A formal education and subsequent undergraduate/graduate degrees are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.

What we expect you already know: 

  • Expertise in understanding the intricacies of activating MMM/MROI models, their strengths, and limitations.
  • Knowledge of data-driven marketing; fundamental understanding of eCommerce and related analytics, MTA models and their relationship to MMM/MROI models.
  • Experience working in the retail or FMCG/consumer goods industry.
  • Excellent analytical story-telling skills.
  • Proven experience managing external vendors and cross-functional projects.
  • Understanding of how global and regional teams integrate with one another at a large size brand.
  • General knowledge of a go-to-market process.
  • Understanding of the MarTech/AdTech landscape.
  • Experience in financial planning and tracking, especially in marketing.

Hiring Range:

$90,720.00 USD - $113,400.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential.
