Job Description Summary:

This position is responsible for the education of residents to include: development of educational programs, weekly meetings, and co-counseling of patients with resident. The Behavior Scientist serves as consultant and referral, either personally or for community referral information. He/She also helps coordinate Medical Education retreats for faculty and residents. Requires specialized depth of expertise in behavioral health achieved through practice and doctoral degree qualifications, interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve system delivery of behavioral health management.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates with a Master's degree in clinical or counseling psychology, family therapy, or social work from an accredited program will be given preference.

HealthCare Related experience preferred, knowledge of patient safety, accreditation, use of a range of quality improvement tools and techniques, proficient use of Microsoft Office Products.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in primary field of study, healthcare or healthcare related experience preferred.

Experience working with Residents in training, experience with academic medical continuity clinics, polished presentation skills, experience in team development and wellness initiatives. Performance improvement experience.
