Job Description Summary:
This position has accountability for the daily operations and supervision which may include Quality Outcomes Management (Performance Improvement), Patient Safety, Accreditation (Regulatory Compliance), Peer Review, and Infection Prevention. Thus, this position is responsible for the supervision of all outcomes managers, regulatory compliance, Quality support, and Infection Prevention staff, including hiring, performance evaluation and accountability, scheduling, and disciplinary actions. Similarly, he/she is responsible for assisting the Director of Quality and Safety with the strategic direction of OhioHealth Quality and Patient Safety initiatives, integration of clinical/financial information to maintain or improve quality, development of an appropriate budgets and the daily management of those budgets. He/She provides expertise to appropriate hospital personnel regarding innovations and improvements to the processes of care resulting in improvements in clinical quality and patient safety, and meeting or exceeding regulatory requirements throughout the organization. He/She consults/provides education to physicians and other appropriate departments regarding clinical quality improvement.Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree (Required), Master's Degree: HealthcareBachelor of Science in Nursing or other allied health field; or Field of study in Nursing with equivalent Experience . Current license in the State of Ohio or national Certification in your professional association. of hospital regulatory requirements, including those of the Joint Commission; problem-solving, prioritization, and negotiation skills; project management, with ability to analyze, interpret and communicate clinical/financial data. Familiarity with computer technology, and ability to use database and spreadsheets; excellent written/verbal communication and teaching/training skills; Management skills including team building, delegation, performance evaluation, and corrective action planning. 3 yrs Experience managing improvements in quality in a hospital or acute care setting.
