Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, your day involves creating tailored software solutions by designing, coding, and improving various components within systems or applications. You engage in collaborative environments that emphasize agile methodologies and modern development frameworks to ensure the delivery of scalable and efficient software. Your work focuses on addressing unique business requirements by continuously refining and enhancing software elements to meet evolving needs and performance standards.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data processing solutions on GCP.
Develop and optimize BigQuery datasets, tables, SQL queries, views, and data transformation processes.
Build automation, data processing, validation, and integration components using Python.
Develop backend applications and REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
Integrate Spring Boot services with cloud-based data platforms and downstream/upstream applications.
Work with GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions/Cloud Run, Composer/Airflow, and IAM, based on solution requirements.
Implement ETL/ELT processes for ingesting, transforming, validating, and publishing data.
Perform query optimization and troubleshoot performance issues across BigQuery and application components.
Implement data quality checks, exception handling, logging, monitoring, and production support mechanisms.
Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, application teams, and architects to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Participate in code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, deployment, and production support.
Follow CI/CD, version-control, security, and cloud-development best practices.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Google BigQuery.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
