WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

As part of the Asterisk Team in Nike Sportswear (NSW), you’ll bring new footwear designs to life ahead of mainstream trends and strengthen existing franchises. You’ll use alternative approaches to bring products to market quickly in a dynamic, continuously evolving creation environment.

Your work focuses exclusively on footwear product creation, from brief through commercialization. Early in development, you’ll provide cross-functional teams with recommendations and technical expertise on construction techniques, materials, tooling, cost and project plans. You’ll pursue product excellence through premium fit, quality and craftsmanship while supporting profitability.

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

In the Product Creation function, you’ll serve as the key point of contact for teammates in Asia during development and commercialization. Throughout the creation process, you’ll also collaborate with Product Testing, Material Design and Material Development, Product Design, Product Management, and Sourcing Managers.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a Senior Footwear Product Developer who translates consumer needs into effective footwear solutions. You bring proven project management, problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills, supported by clear communication and a proactive, adaptable approach to leadership.

Success in this role means delivering complex footwear projects on time while meeting design intent, performance, cost, profitability and sustainability targets. You’ll combine technical expertise with cross-functional partnership to build consensus on priorities and decisions. Preferred qualifications are listed below.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Product Development, Engineering, Manufacturing, Marketing or Industrial Design; or an equivalent combination of education, experience or training.
  • Minimum of 3 years directly applicable work experience
  • Communication and influencing skills that enable effective interaction with leadership and cross-functional product creation team members.
  • Knowledge of footwear manufacturing technologies and equipment, tooling, and materials is highly preferred
  • Proven project management experience related to product creation or manufacturing.

We offer a number of accommodations to complete our interview process including screen readers, sign language interpreters, accessible and single location for in-person interviews, closed captioning, and other reasonable modifications as needed. If you discover, as you navigate our application process, that you need assistance or an accommodation due to a disability, please complete the Candidate Accommodation Request Form.
