Junior Test Engineer (AI-Augmented) - Ebene, Nex Tower | Accenture Job

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Test Engineer (AI-Augmented) to join our Quality Engineering team. This role is ideal for recent graduates or professionals with up to 2 years of experience who are looking to build a career in Quality Assurance and Quality Engineering.

The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), strong analytical skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions.

The candidate should also be open to leveraging AI-assisted tools to improve productivity, support test design activities, and enhance overall testing effectiveness.

You will work closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, senior testers, and other stakeholders to ensure software quality throughout the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and understand business, functional, and technical requirements.
• Assist in the creation of test scenarios, test cases, and test data based on project requirements.
• Participate in requirement refinement discussions and contribute to identifying potential quality risks.
• Execute manual tests for web, mobile, API, and desktop applications under the guidance of senior team members.
• Utilize AI-assisted tools to support test case creation, requirement analysis, and testing activities.
• Perform Functional, Regression, Integration, Smoke, Sanity, Exploratory, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support activities.
• Identify, document, and track defects using Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar defect management tools.
• Verify defect fixes and execute regression tests to validate system stability.
• Collaborate with developers and project teams to resolve issues and clarify requirements.
• Support API testing activities using Postman (or similar tools) and perform basic database validations using SQL.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Maintain accurate test execution records and provide regular status updates.
• Continuously learn and adopt best practices in software testing and quality engineering.
  

Required Skills:

• 0-2 years of experience in Software Testing, Quality Assurance, or related IT roles.
• Basic understanding of SDLC, STLC, Defect Life Cycle, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Knowledge of Functional testing concepts and testing techniques.
• Exposure to Functional, Regression, Integration, Smoke, and User Acceptance Testing.
• Familiarity with test case design and defect reporting practices.
• Basic knowledge of AI-assisted tools and willingness to leverage them in testing activities.
• Familiarity with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tracking tools.
• Basic understanding of SQL and API testing concepts (Postman or similar tools).
• Familiarity with browser Developer Tools is an advantage.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of Quality Engineering.
• Understanding of Agile development practices.
• Exposure to test automation concepts is an advantage but not required.

Academic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Applied Computing, Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant testing or technology certifications will be considered an advantage.
• ISTQB Foundation Level Certification (or willingness to pursue certification) is a plus.
