SERVER
The Four Seasons Resort Hualalai is looking for a Server who shares a passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do. Our Servers have the opportunity to shape our guest experience by providing exceptional knowledge of the Resort and exemplifying the Golden Rule in each interaction. Work authorization required.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Describe the selection of food & beverage menu items to guests by offering interesting, and vivid descriptions of each item’s, origin, taste, and preparation methods; communicate guest orders including any special needs or requests to the kitchen using the hotel’s point-of-sales system; coordinate food timings; check completed kitchen orders with the guest’s original order; transport items to the guest table in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality.
Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests; prioritize allergies, and be knowledgeable on menu offerings to meet guests’ dietary restrictions and preferences.
Be knowledgeable of beverage menu including cocktails, wines by the glass and bottle, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages; aware of different spirits available and prompt guest for preference when ordering cocktails; be familiar with bartender’s specials and ability to modify beverages to guests preferences.
Properly and accurately close guest checks; process cash and credit card payments; properly settle voided checks or complimentary meals.
Greet guests upon arrival and departure, and engage personally to build relationships with guests and members.
WHAT TO BRING
Required by the Hawaii State Department of Health to obtain a Tuberculous (TB) clearance card when working in food and beverage.
Three to twelve months of restaurant, food and beverage, or equivalent experience is required.
Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in United States
Ability to carry and balance a tray.
Ability to accurately read food tickets and communicate orders with the kitchen and servers.
