Job Description:

Project Engineer

Abu Dhabi, UAE

Parsons is looking for an experienced Project Engineer (Buildings) to join our Project Management Construction(PMC) team! In this role, you will manage daily site operations related to Buildings construction, ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Oversee all construction activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with the design and construction teams to ensure smooth execution of the works.
• Monitor work progress, identifying potential delays or issues and taking corrective actions to ensure the project remains on track.
• Conduct site inspections, ensuring that the works are completed to the highest quality standards and in accordance with the approved design.
• Ensure proper documentation of all works, including progress reports, safety reports, and quality control checks.
• Manage site safety, ensuring that all workers adhere to safety protocols and minimize risks associated with the works.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of materials and services required for the works.
• Assist with testing and commissioning, ensuring that the works meet the necessary quality and functionality standards before handover.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, or relevant degree from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 8+ years of experience in Construction Supervision, with at least 5 years in a site engineering role for Building projects.
• Strong understanding of design and construction standards, codes, and regulations.
• Proficient in MS Office and project management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
• Fluent in Arabic and English with excellent communication skills.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Proactive problem-solving abilities and ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
• Familiarity with international design and construction standards and local codes, particularly in the Middle East or GCC.
• Preferably having local UAE/Abu Dhabi experience.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and other engineering design software.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to review and check designs for accuracy and compliance.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects at the same time.
