About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Securities Operations Associate to support efficient and effective securities operations while contributing to a strong risk and control environment. This role offers an opportunity to be part of an organization focused on operational excellence, execution discipline, and customer centricity.

In this role, you will:

  • Participate in low-complexity securities operations activities and identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Review basic operational issues, policies, and procedures related to low-to-medium-risk tasks and deliverables with limited scope
  • Follow standard practices and receive direction from managers or experienced colleagues while developing knowledge of securities operations functions, policies, and procedures
  • Exercise judgment within defined parameters to resolve routine situations across assigned trade-related processes
  • Collaborate with peers, colleagues, managers, and internal or external customers to exchange information, resolve routine issues, and support team goals
  • Develop knowledge of operational processes that may include client account onboarding, cash payments, customer service, funding operations, custodial operations, securities settlement services, structured loan operations, and general ledger reconciliation
  • Gather information and perform research and evaluation to support the resolution of low-complexity operational issues
  • Review time-sensitive documents and transaction requests, research low-complexity business risks, and provide input on established policies and procedures
  • Monitor assigned daily securities- and cash-related production activities and support the overall effectiveness of the team
  • Contribute to projects and the implementation of new or revised processes and procedures under the direction of managers or experienced colleague.

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Securities Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following:  work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of Securities Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of experience in mutual funds, equities, fixed income, reconciliation, trade operations, or securities settlements
  • Experience supporting trade lifecycle activities, including transaction processing, settlement, and reconciliation
  • Experience researching and resolving trade or transaction-related discrepancies and operational issues
  • Experience working with time-sensitive securities transactions, cash movements, or settlement activities


Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of mutual funds, equities, fixed income products, securities settlements, and trade lifecycle processes
  • Experience with cash and securities reconciliation, transaction processing, and exception management
  • Ability to research and resolve trade, settlement, and reconciliation discrepancies within established procedures
  • Knowledge of securities operations controls, operational risk, and regulatory requirements
  • Experience working with time-sensitive transactions and meeting established processing deadlines
  • Ability to analyze operational information, identify discrepancies, and escalate issues appropriately
  • Experience collaborating with internal teams and business partners to resolve operational or transaction-related issues
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, for reviewing, tracking, and reconciling operational data 


Job Expectations:

  • Ability to work a night shift from 6:30 PM - 3:30 AM
