Senior Mechanical Engineer – New Product Development       

Join a skilled team of mechanical engineers who develop systems for printing and personalizing credit cards, passports, IDs, and more. Work on cross-functional teams to create impactful products. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will collaborate with other engineers and guide designers to achieve project goals. The products involve various printing technologies and components like injection-molded plastic, sheet metal, machining, rubber molding, power transmission, DC motors, lasers, and sensors. This role is based onsite to support hands‑on design and collaboration.

Responsibilities:

• Understand product requirements and develop solutions
• Use theoretical calculations and analytical methods to develop and support mechanical concepts

• Apply sound engineering judgment to solve technical problems

• Apply strong understanding of design for manufacturing processes to ensure high-quality parts.
• Review or create part drawings, solid models and bills of material
• Lead design reviews
• Work with suppliers to produce parts
• Prototype, test, and iterated on designs  
• Provide project, people, and team leadership
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
• 5+ years of product development experience
• 3D solid modeling experience
• General use of PC applications
• Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience using SolidWorks 3D CAD program
• Experience working with mechanical and electromechanical products
• Experience with injection-molded, plastic-part design
• Experience with sheet metal, machined part design
• Experience with Matlab and Simulink
• Power transmission design experience
• Experience designing products for volume production
• Mechanical aptitude with hands-on skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Leadership skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented, deadline driven, self-directed and organized individual
• Ability to excel in highly interactive team environment
• Commitment to learning and continuous improvement

Compensation Range:

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $94,046-$137,933 per year (in the primary posting location). Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location, education, skills and experience. This position is also eligible for the company’s discretionary annual incentive plan.
