What would you do? • • Execute day-to-day Travel and Expenses activity to the agreed quality and turnaround standards.• • Support knowledge transfer across the Travel and Expenses process and its supporting systems.• • Ensure day-to-day activity complies with HarbourVest guidelines and that required records are maintained.• • Act as first point of contact for the team on process queries, and as back-up to the Team Lead. • You will be working as a part of Investment Banking team which specializes primarily in selling securities and underwriting the issuance of new equity shares to raise capital funds They act as intermediaries between security issuers and investors and help new firms to public • A solution to automate and streamline expense report approval and management.
What are we looking for? • Primary skill - Travel & Expense Processing - P1 • Analyst (SME) (HarbourVest: Analyst): 3 to 5 years of experience• • Bachelors Masters degree in Commerce, Finance or Accounting.• • Working knowledge of accounting and Corporate Finance Finance Operations cycles: procure-to-pay, travel and expense, and period-end.• • Experience of any major ERP or finance platform (for example SAP, Oracle, NetSuite or Workday); the underlying process is comparable across platforms.• • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).• • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.• • Strong interpersonal
Roles and Responsibilities: • Responsibilities and Accountabilities • • Validate employee expense reports against HarbourVest-defined T&E policy.• • Audit expense reports for accuracy, receipt attachments, expense coding and policy adherence.• • Reconcile corporate card transactions to expense reports and the resulting accounting; escalate unreconciled items to HarbourVest.• • Check supporting documentation and pre-approvals, and raise exceptions for policy breaches.• • Validate T&E audit exceptions and process reversals or recoveries as directed by HarbourVest.• • Provide analytics on expense trends and compliance metrics using standard dashboards and reporting tools.• • Process employee expense reimbursements that have been approved by HarbourVest.• • Prepare draft T&E accrual entries for submitted but unapproved expense reports, and draft reversals on approval in the following period, for HarbourVest review.
