About the location:

Seaside glamour on the Egyptian riviera; with Egyptian underpinnings and a sleek waterfront setting, our resort-style Hotel embodies modern Alexandria and its unique cosmopolitan flare. On one side, the Mediterranean Sea glistens in the sun; on the other, a dynamic metropolis buzzes with life. This stunning resort-style hotel opened in June 2007 and has a combination of classic hotel design and modern and contemporary beach suites and villas. Our hotel is connected to a shopping mall, it has 154 rooms including 31 Suites, 30 Beach Suites and 6 Villas with private pools, a private beach, a sea water infinity beach pool and a heated indoor pool, Spa and Fitness Center, and 10 food and beverage venues including an open-air 350 seat beach restaurant.

About the role
The Purchasing Clerk is part of the Purchasing Department whose function is to procure various item utilized by the hotel.

What you will do

Implement the 10/5 Rule at all times during work hours.

2. The ability to maintain logs on movement and inventory of stock items and tools.

3. The ability to maintain benchmark calendars for 90 day, 6 months and annual performance evaluations of staff members.

4. The ability to handle necessary follow-up and updating of availability of both internal and external training opportunities through Human Resources Department and making such information known to the Engineering Management staff and scheduling of same.

5. The ability to assist in updating comprehensive departmental policies and manuals.

6. The ability to ensure effective communication and good relations between the Engineering Department and other departments within the resort.

7. The ability to prepare and follow through on any projects as outlined by Engineering Management Staff.

What you bring

1. Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.

2. High degree of initiative, motivation and excellent organizational skills.

3. High school graduate or equivalent required.

4. Must be proficient in computer skills, such as Excel, Word, ability to learn new software programs as trained, and some familiarity with Access similar systems.

5. Minimum 2 years job related experience or accounting record i.e. purchasing or receiving.
