Circle K, Convenience Support Senior Category & Space Planning Manager. 

Circle K Ireland are currently recruiting a commercially minded and strategic Convenience Support Category and Space Planning Manager to lead store layout, space planning, and floor optimisation across our Circle K stores in Ireland. 

This role will use data, insights, and customer behaviour to create best-in-class store environments that enhance the customer journey, maximise sales and profitability, and support future growth.

This is a full-time permanent role, based 5 days per week in Circle K Support Office in Clonskeagh, Dublin 4. 

Key Responsibilities

• Lead space planning and floor layout design for store remodels, acquisitions, and redevelopment projects.

• Optimise retail space allocation using sales, margin, shopper behaviour, and productivity data.

• Develop and maintain store floor plans and layout standards.

• Drive an exceptional customer journey through effective merchandising and store design.

• Manage floorplan approvals and coordinate with Category, Operations, Network Development, and leadership teams.

• Build and evaluate business cases for shop remodel investments and track performance against targets.

• Use tools such as RELEX, BI platforms, and space planning software to identify opportunities and improve performance.

• Lead the implementation of new store concepts, layouts, and retail initiatives.

• Represent the business in European Space Network forums and support the rollout of EU and local category plans.

What You'll Bring

• 3+ years' experience in Category Management, Buying, Space Planning, or a related FMCG/Retail environment.

• Experience with space planning tools such as RELEX, Spaceman, or similar.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.

• Excellent project management, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

• Experience facilitating workshops, training teams, and driving change.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business or a related discipline.

• Relevant training in Category Management, Buying, or Project Management.

• Customer-focused and commercially driven.

• Strong collaborator with excellent relationship-building skills.

• Strategic thinker with the ability to translate plans into execution.

• Passionate about continuous improvement and innovation.
