Senior Networking Solutions Architect - Spectrum-X - China, Beijing | Nvidia Job

NVIDIA Networking Solutions Architects team is looking for a Networking Solutions Architect to join the team and support the Spectrum-X networking platform, which is a revolutionary solution for building multi-tenant, hyperscale AI clouds with Ethernet. This role focuses on customers who build their own switch software stacks — running SONiC or in-house network operating systems on Spectrum-based whitebox switches, integrating through SAI, and developing directly against the NVIDIA Spectrum SDK. As a Networking Solutions Architect you will have a real impact on the business, while working closely with our customers, marketing and R&D teams.

What you’ll be doing:

• Work as customer technical specialist to address customer requirements and technical challenges during the pre-sales activities of the Spectrum-X solution, with emphasis on whitebox switches.
• Guide customers bringing up SONiC or their own NOS on NVIDIA Spectrum whitebox platforms — platform bring-up, feature enablement and debuggability.
• Serve as the technical authority on the SAI layer and the NVIDIA Spectrum SDK: advise on API usage, feature mapping, ASIC capabilities and limitations, and help customers implement new features on top of them.
• Debug complex networking and software issues across the full stack — customer NOS, SAI, SDK — and provide solutions to customers.
• Work closely with our R&D teams to solve customer issues and drive fixes upstream where relevant.
• Participate in building the SW products roadmap by providing customer product requirements and feedback to engineering and marketing teams.

What we need to see:

• 6+ years' experience in networking software development with knowledge of Linux kernel, Ethernet and IP protocols.
• B.Sc or equivalent experience, Masters or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
• Hands-on experience with switch software stacks — SONiC, another open/whitebox NOS, or an in-house switch operating system.
• Experience with Ethernet Switches/Routers and network protocols including L2–L4 protocols.
• Development or scripting ability in C/C++ and/or Python for debugging, integration and tooling.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to details.
• Strong English communication and presentation skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work directly with customers.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

• Working knowledge of switch ASIC programming models and abstraction layers such as SAI, or equivalent vendor switch SDKs.
• Cloud infrastructure understanding
• Knowledge of RDMA and RoCE
• Knowledge of AI workflows
