What will you do?

The Sr. Manager, Strategic Workforce Planning & Workforce Intelligence serves as a strategic advisor to HR and business leaders, translating business strategy into workforce decisions. This role leads enterprise workforce planning, scenario modeling, skills-based planning, and workforce intelligence initiatives that help leaders anticipate talent needs, identify workforce risks, and make informed investment decisions.

The position partners closely with Finance, HR, and business leadership to align workforce plans with business priorities while leveraging advanced analytics, AI-enabled insights, and workforce intelligence to improve organizational effectiveness.

You will be responsible for all aspects of managing strategic workforce planning & advanced analytics programs and data visualizations from conception through business integration. This includes gathering stakeholder input from program design to execution/integration, supporting data-architecture, effective planning, excellent communication between stakeholders and internal/external partners, ongoing program assessment and guidance.

The foundation skills you will need in this position are: 

  • The Sr Manager of Strategic Workforce Planning and Analytics is accountable for providing direction over workforce planning, future headcount forecasts, and analysis.
  • In partnership with finance, and global leadership, coordinate the annual global workforce planning process along with facilitating quarterly forecasts.
  • Translate workforce data into actionable business recommendations, scenario models, and strategic workforce strategies that influence hiring, organization design, capability investments, and operating decisions.
  • Perform workforce planning analytics using data gathered from planning systems and external benchmark datasets.
  • Conduct strategic mapping exercise and talent gap assessments to determine current/future talent needs through labor market assessments with a focus on the overall talent availability.
  • Develop and analyze reports and dashboard to track headcount planning along with organizing large amounts of data, build analytic models and tools, and perform strategic analysis (e.g. descriptive statistics, segmentation, trend analysis, forecasting, etc.)
  • Communicates to senior leaders any adjustments to workforce requirements based on updates to the forecasts.
  • Manage the development of data visualization solutions to cater to the needs of the business and target audience.
  • Consult and collaborate with leaders to understand key value drivers and challenges within their business units and determine the key metrics and insights that can help improve performance as a result. 
  • Develop the story that accompanies all analyses: present, explain and discuss results of analyses concisely and effectively to drive fact-based decision making at all levels within the organization.

The experience that will set you up for success

  • 6+ years of professional experience
  • 4+ years of experience in managing workforce planning and/or analytics programs in partnership and collaboration with business leaders.
  • 3+ years of people analytics experience as part or a Human Resources function.
  • BA/BS or MS in a quantitative field preferred (statistics, operations research, mathematics, computer science, economics, analytics)
  • Platform proficiency/knowledge: Workday, Tableau, Power BI, etc.
  • Highly analytical, self-motivated, creative out-of-the-box thinker and desire for continuous learning in job-related subject matter.
  • Expertise in statistical modeling and advanced analytical methodology.
  • Subscribes to the highest standards of ethics and business/personal integrity.
  • Ability to manage sensitive employee information in a highly confidential manner.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage a heavy workload.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to educate and influence management and senior leaders to act in a desired manner through written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, synthesize, and communicate complex information to non-technical audiences in a logical and concise manner.
  • Strong leadership traits, and ability to operate with great latitude and resourcefulness.

This can be a remote position but most of this team is in North Carolina. We prefer this person to be within an hour and a half from our core location in Greensboro, NC or Global Headquarters in Denver, CO.

Hiring Range:

$112,000.00 USD - $140,000.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
