WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Maintenance Coach who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is motivated by developing people, improving equipment reliability, and driving operational excellence. The ideal candidate combines strong technical maintenance expertise with a coaching mindset, enabling teams to safely execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities while continuously improving asset performance.

This leader is skilled at troubleshooting complex equipment issues, prioritizing work in dynamic production environments, and fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. They are committed to creating an engaged and high-performing maintenance team while delivering results that support Nike's manufacturing and service objectives.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

As a Maintenance Coach, you will lead daily maintenance execution for AM93, ensuring safe, effective, and efficient delivery of maintenance services. You will coordinate technician workloads, monitor equipment performance, and partner cross-functionally to resolve chronic equipment issues and improve reliability.

You will drive adherence to Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) standards, maintenance procedures, documentation practices, and preventive maintenance strategies while supporting the development of maintenance technicians through coaching, training, and performance feedback.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You will work closely with Maintenance Technicians, Production Coaches, Engineers, Planning, Quality, Safety, and Operations leadership to ensure equipment reliability and operational success. You will also partner with contractors, vendors, and technical specialists to support maintenance activities and continuous improvement initiatives across AM93.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead and coordinate maintenance activities for assigned shift.
  • Assign and prioritize maintenance work to ensure rapid response and effective execution.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop maintenance technicians to build technical capability and leadership readiness.
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Support training completion and skill development plans for maintenance team members.

Maintenance Execution & Reliability

  • Manage daily maintenance operations, including preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Verify quality of repairs and maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability and sustainability.
  • Lead equipment breakdown response efforts and manage maintenance execution tempo.
  • Conduct Gemba walks and equipment reviews on critical assets to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Utilize troubleshooting methodologies to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

Operational Excellence

  • Monitor and analyze maintenance performance metrics and equipment reliability trends.
  • Drive improvements in Mean Time to Repair (MTTR), Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and equipment uptime.
  • Partner with Engineering and Operations teams to resolve chronic equipment issues and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with maintenance documentation standards and CMMS processes.
  • Act as CMMS lead/approver for work orders, maintenance planning activities, and reporting accuracy.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all Nike safety policies, EHS procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain authorization and oversight of safety-critical activities, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and electrical safety practices.
  • Provide contractor oversight and ensure safe execution of all maintenance-related work.
  • Drive achievement of site safety goals and key performance indicators.

WHAT YOU BRING

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 2+ years of leadership, supervisory, or team coaching experience.
  • Demonstrated experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automated systems.
  • Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical certification, associate degree, or equivalent maintenance-related training.
  • Experience with SAP CMMS or similar maintenance management systems.
  • Experience leading reliability, TPM, or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Previous experience supporting high-volume manufacturing operations.
