Position Summary

Reporting to the Group Director or Manager, Creative, and partnering closely with the Associate Creative Director, Experience Design, the Senior Designer will lead the creative development and execution of events, activations, tradeshows, sponsorships, and other branded experiences for CVS Health. This role requires a strong creative vision, strategic thinking, and the ability to translate brand stories into compelling physical and digital experiences. The Senior Designer will drive projects from concept through implementation, provide creative leadership across initiatives, collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, and mentor junior designers. Success in this role requires exceptional design and presentation skills, strong creative problem-solving, expertise in experiential design and visual storytelling, and a commitment to design excellence, brand integrity, and business results.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop strategic creative concepts and design solutions for events, activations, tradeshows, and branded experiences that elevate brand storytelling and achieve business objectives.
  • Lead projects from brief through production, applying strong creative and strategic thinking to deliver impactful experiential, environmental, print, and digital assets while managing timelines, priorities, and multiple concurrent projects.
  • Build and present compelling concept presentations, clearly articulating design rationale and serving as a subject matter expert during stakeholder reviews and approval meetings.
  • Collaborate with creative teams, cross-functional partners, business stakeholders, external agencies, and production vendors to deliver high-quality, on-brand experiences and ensure successful execution.
  • Partner with printers, fabricators, and event vendors to oversee production quality, proofing, material selection, accessibility compliance, color accuracy, and onsite installation support.
  • Demonstrate exceptional organization, attention to detail, creative problem-solving, and a commitment to design excellence in a fast-paced environment.

Hybrid Work Model: This role follows a hybrid schedule based in our Woonsocket, RI office, with an expectation of 2-3 days per week in office (minimum of 2 days) and the remainder of the week working remotely.

Required Qualifications

  • 5-7+ years of graphic design experience in a design firm, agency, or corporate environment, with a proven track record of developing impactful creative solutions, branding systems, and environmental signage
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), PowerPoint, Workfront, Miro, and Mac-based design environments
  • Knowledge of AI and emerging digital technologies, with the ability to leverage them to enhance creativity, storytelling, audience engagement, and design innovation
  • Strong understanding of print production processes, file management best practices, and the ability to take projects from concept through print-ready execution with exceptional organization and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated experience developing creative concepts for events, activations, tradeshows, experiential marketing, and environmental graphics
  • A portfolio showcasing strategic creative thinking, strong visual design skills, and successful execution of branded experiences across physical and digital environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of typography, color, composition, and visual design principles, with the ability to interpret and evolve brand guidelines across multiple touchpoints
  • Passion for strategic and creative problem-solving, with the ability to develop design solutions that achieve business objectives and enhance audience engagement
  • Knowledge of current trends, best practices, and emerging innovations in events, activations, experiential marketing, and environmental design
  • Proven ability to develop impactful creative concepts and executions that advance brand vision while ensuring consistency across all experiences and deliverables
  • Experience mentoring junior designers by providing creative direction, constructive feedback, and support throughout the design process
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate ideas and design rationale to stakeholders at all levels
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to successfully manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$66,330.00 - $145,860.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
