Responsibilities

  • Handle preventative maintenance of all equipment and update appropriate logs.

  • Handle all repairs of equipment including motors, starters, breakers, chillers and associated equipment throughout the entire building.

  • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.

  • Diagnose moderate equipment issues including motors, switches, pumps, and basic control systems.

  • Complete preventive maintenance tasks and properly document all work performed.

  •  Assist with installations and upgrades of building systems and equipment.

  • Read and follow basic blueprints, manuals, and wiring diagrams.

  • Respond to guest maintenance requests in rooms and public areas.

  • Assist in resolving emergency situations such as equipment failures or power interruptions.

  • Conduct routine inspections and report deficiencies to senior staff.

  • Execute assigned work orders in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Support energy conservation efforts through basic monitoring and reporting.

  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe condition.

  • Assist contractors during maintenance or renovation projects.

  • Follow all safety procedures and building codes.

  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding job status.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule in order to accomplish all major responsibilities. This may include some evenings, weekends and holidays. 

  • 3 -5 years of experience in building maintenance or engineering, preferably in hospitality or a similar environment

  • Strong multi-trade technical expertise (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, mechanical systems)

  • Ability to diagnose and repair complex equipment and system failures independently

  • Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals

  • Trade school certification or technical training (HVAC, electrical, mechanical, or related field)

  • Professional certifications in HVAC, refrigeration, or electrical systems preferred

  • Basic computer skills and experience with maintenance management systems

  • Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs

  • Ability to stand and walk up to 8 hours.

  • Must possess legal work authorization in the United States
