Job Description:

Parsons is seeking a Customer Finance Lead for a cybersecurity support program. If you are passionate about leveraging your financial acumen to help support a large cybersecurity customer in helping protect the nation and make the world a better place, this role offers a strong next step in your career.

The Customer Finance Lead will help customer leadership and program managers understand financial status, forecast future needs, monitor expenditures, and make informed resource-allocation decisions. You will work across a multidisciplinary organization supporting Security, Human Resources, Judge Advocate, training, manpower, and administrative functions.

This position is an excellent opportunity for a financial professional who enjoys working with customers, analyzing complex data, improving processes, and applying financial insight to a mission-focused environment.

You’ll be joining Parsons’ local Analytics & Engineering team, a community known for its strong culture of defensive cyber operations, technical excellence, and collaboration. We invest in both mission success and team connection through regular social events, technical talks, training opportunities, and hands-on innovation activities at our Cybersecurity Center of Excellence Lab in Columbia, MD. From team lunches and ice cream socials to family-friendly seasonal events and technical learning sessions, we work hard to create an environment where people can do meaningful work and enjoy being part of the team.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Provide financial management and analysis support for a complex cybersecurity support program.
  • Support current-year and long-range financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and execution tracking.
  • Develop and maintain budget trackers, financial models, forecasts, spend plans, and management dashboards.
  • Monitor planned versus actual expenditures, obligations, commitments, labor, travel, training, and other program costs.
  • Analyze budget execution trends, variances, risks, and resource requirements.
  • Prepare financial reports, briefings, presentations, and recommendations for customer leadership and program management.
  • Support the development of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance reports.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation in accordance with customer procedures.
  • Coordinate with program managers, functional leads, Government stakeholders, and contractor management to collect, validate, and reconcile financial data.
  • Support training-budget tracking and maintain transaction registers by directorate, as applicable.
  • Assist with workforce, staffing, manpower, and resource forecasts.
  • Identify potential funding shortfalls, execution risks, data inconsistencies, and emerging financial requirements.
  • Support financial inputs to program reviews, status reports, acquisition planning, and risk-management activities.
  • Develop standard operating procedures, templates, and process improvements to improve financial visibility and reporting efficiency.
  • Ensure financial deliverables are accurate, timely, well documented, and aligned with contract requirements.
  • Support the Program Manager with financial and business processes while recognizing that Government officials retain responsibility for inherently Governmental budget and funding decisions.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • TS/SCI clearance active/current
  • 10+ years of relevant finance experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, economics, public administration, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial reporting, and resource planning.
  • Experience developing and maintaining financial trackers, models, dashboards, and management reports.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, data validation, charts, and financial analysis.
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet recurring reporting deadlines, and work effectively with senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze complex financial information and communicate findings clearly to technical and nontechnical audiences.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Experience supporting Air Force, intelligence community, federal, or other government customers.
  • Experience with government contracts, contract financial management, program controls, or performance-based service contracts.
  • Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulation and Department of Defense financial-management practices.
  • Experience with labor-hour tracking, indirect rates, travel, training budgets, subcontractor costs, or contract funding profiles.
  • Experience supporting manpower planning, workforce forecasting, or position management.
  • Experience with financial or enterprise systems such as Power BI, Tableau, SAP, Costpoint, Deltek, Oracle, Momentum, or similar tools.
  • Experience preparing executive-level financial briefings and recommendations.
  • Certification such as Certified Defense Financial Manager, Project Management Professional, Certified Government Financial Manager, or related credential
