A day in the life of a Principal Product Manager, Central Finance at VF looks a little like this. 

The Principal Product Manager, Central Finance  is responsible for the product strategy, roadmap, and delivery of VF's SAP Central Finance platform. This role serves as the primary liaison between Global Finance, Accounting, Shared Services, and Technology teams to drive the implementation of a unified finance execution layer that standardizes global processes across AP, AR, General Ledger, Intercompany, Fixed Assets, Treasury, Cash Management, and Financial Close.

Product Strategy & Roadmap

• Own the Central Finance product vision, roadmap, and deployment strategy aligned to VF's global finance transformation program.
• Prioritize business capabilities that support process harmonization and finance back-office centralization.
• Develop and maintain product backlogs, release plans, and business value realization metrics.

Business Partnership

• Partner with Corporate Finance, Controllers, Shared Services, Treasury, Tax, and accounting leaders to support the design and implementation of future-state business processes.
• Translate business requirements into scalable SAP Central Finance solutions.
• Partner with Finance Data teams to define and implement master data requirements supporting global finance harmonization

Product Delivery

• Lead implementation of Central Finance capabilities including:
  • General Ledger
  • Intercompany Accounting
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Credit Management
  • Vendor Payments
  • Fixed Assets
  • Treasury and Cash Management
  • Advanced Financial Close
• Coordinate system integrations with operational ERPs and supporting finance applications.
• Oversee testing, cutover planning, deployment, and adoption activities.

Data & Governance

• Drive master data governance requirements supporting global finance harmonization.
• Partner with Finance Data and Analytics teams to establish common financial data standards.
• Ensure SOX-compliant controls are embedded into solution design.

Leadership

• Lead cross-functional teams consisting of business stakeholders, system integrators, architects, and delivery managers.
• Lead cross-functional product teams without direct organizational authority

What do you need to succeed?

Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 8 years of experience and professional achievements.

The foundation skills you will need in this position are: 

• 8+ years of experience in Finance Technology, ERP Product Management, or SAP Finance transformations.
• Deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA Finance and Central Finance.
• Strong understanding of Record-to-Report, Close, Treasury, AP, AR, and Intercompany processes.
• Experience delivering SAP Finance capabilities as part of enterprise transformation initiatives.
• Proven ability to influence senior business stakeholders and drive adoption of standardized finance processes and technology solutions.

Hiring Range:

$140,000.00 USD - $175,000.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
