The NVIDIA Networking Diagnostics team is seeking a highly motivated entry-level junior engineer to join us in developing diagnostic tools for our newest, world-leading networking platforms. This role is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience and make a real impact in a dynamic, technology-focused company, supporting data centers and high-performance computing (HPC) clusters worldwide. We are looking for curious and driven engineers who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about learning and improving the stability of next-generation hardware.

What you'll be doing:

  • Design & Implement: Contribute to the design and development of diagnostic tools and frameworks using Python for NVIDIA’s networking platforms.

  • Performance Optimization: Assist in developing efficient and scalable software, learning how to optimize performance for high-throughput systems and real-time monitoring.

  • System Diagnostics: Help develop features that connect hardware behavior with software-level diagnostics and analysis.

  • Collaborative Problem Solving: Work closely with hardware, firmware, and driver teams to solve real-world technical challenges.

  • Learning & Growth: Gain exposure to the full software development lifecycle, from understanding hardware specifications to deployment and validation.

What we need to see:

  • B.Sc. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 0–4 years of experience in software development (internships or academic projects are welcome).

  • Strong programming skills in Python and a willingness to learn and improve.

  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, Ethernet, or InfiniBand).

  • Familiarity with Linux environments.

  • Good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Experience from internships or academic projects related to systems, networking, or hardware.

  • Exposure to performance optimization or debugging tools.

  • Basic knowledge of C/C++ or low-level programming.

  • Familiarity with Linux internals or system-level development.

  • Demonstrated curiosity and ability to quickly learn new technologies.

At NVIDIA, we value diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, sex, gender, gender expression, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status. We provide reasonable accommodations to ensure all individuals can participate in the job application or interview process, perform essential job functions, and receive other benefits and privileges of employment.

Join us and be part of a team that's pushing the boundaries of technology and making a real impact in the world.
