The Role of Commis de Rang – Room Service

Reporting into the Room Service Manager, you will be responsible for preparing food and beverage orders, delivering trolleys and trays to guests in their rooms according to standards as per HACCP system. You will be placing food and beverage amenities to the guests’ rooms, collecting trolleys and trays from rooms in a timely manner. You will be supporting the Chef de Rang - Room Service as needed in describing the food and beverage selection to our guests by offering interesting and vivid descriptions of each item’s origin, taste and preparation method.

Our Ideal Commis de Rang - Room Service will have
High school diploma or equivalent and minimum one year of experience in food service or related work.Attention to detail, strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, the ability to multi-task with excellent organizational skills, be a team player and bring your personal touch and energy to all our In-Room Dining experiences. Ability to carry and balance a tray.

You will have fluency in English and Italian.

This position is based at the San Domenico Palace Taormina and the contract is seasonal. The candidate must have a flexible schedule with the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays. You must possess the legal right to work in Italy.
