What will you do?

A day in the life of a Sr. Manager Indirect Procurement (Professional Services) at VF looks a little like this.

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven IndirectProcurement Global Category Manager to lead sourcing and category management initiatives across key spend areas and regions. This role is a leadership position responsible for developing and executing global category sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and driving value creation while ensuring quality and compliance.

This role will be responsible for leading the sourcing of Professional Services category which includes:

• HR services and technology
• IT, Financial, and legal services
• Business consulting
• Facilities services
• Contingent labor
• Travel services

• Category Sourcing Strategy Development:
  Develop and implement sourcing strategies for assigned categories to optimize cost, quality, and service
• Supplier Management:
  Identify, evaluate, and manage supplier relationships. Lead negotiations and performance reviews to ensure alignment with business goals
• Market Analysis:
  Conduct market research and benchmarking to stay informed of industry trends, risks, and opportunities
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  Partner with internal stakeholders (e.g., Finance, Legal, Operations) to understand business needs and ensure procurement strategies align with organizational objectives
• Contract Management:
  Lead contract negotiations and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
• Cost Optimization:
  Identify and deliver cost-saving opportunities through strategic sourcing, demand management, and process improvements
• People Management:
  Develop and lead a global team of 2-4 direct reports
• Risk Management:
  Assess and mitigate risks, ensuring business continuity and supplier resilience

What do you need to succeed?

Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 8+ years of experience and professional achievements. 

The foundation skills you will need in this position are:

• BA or BS degree.
• 8+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management
• 3+ years of people management experience
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and project management skills
• Proficiency in procurement tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Coupa)
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) are a plus
• Experience working with a fashion or apparel business a plus.

Hiring Range:

$140,000.00 USD - $175,000.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
