Position Summary...

What you'll do...

Fuels aircraft by using equipment (for example, refuelers, ladders, wing mats); driving in and around tight and confined spaces; communicating with flight crew on method of refueling; retrieving orders from internal and external customers ; converting pounds to gallons; reading meters on fuel trucks; and generating service orders to communicate services rendered.

Maintains fuel quality by performing inspections of fuel; changing filter elements at fuel farm; performing tests on fuel to detect specific gravity and amount of contaminants and anti-icing additives in fuel; performing fuel recovery process; running fuel reports; documenting test results; and conducting oil inventory.

Performs aircraft inspection and repair duties by reviewing aircraft logbook entries; updating and reviewing computerized maintenance tracking software for maintenance compliance; checking regulatory agencies like FAA for airworthiness directives listings; conducting in-process inspections; ensuring parts, tools, and documentation are approved prior to usage; computing and maintaining weight and balance for aircraft; reviewing aircraft manufacturer publications and service bulletins; ensuring work performed complies with applicable federal aviation regulations ; following safety practices and procedures ; and returning the aircraft to service.

Troubleshoots and repairs complex jet aircraft systems by removing, repairing, and analyzing aircraft systems and components associated with an aircraft discrepancy ; identifying; notifying quality assurance department when an item requires inspection; operating heavy equipment (for example, fork lift, scissor lift); updating aircraft records of work complete and completing logbook entries; consulting equipment manufacturers' manuals; inputting progress status into automated aircraft maintenance tracking software; and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures and Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations.

Supports compliance aspects of aviation maintenance by ensuring aircraft, aircraft components, and aviation support maintenance data are collected and properly disseminated through maintenance tracking software platforms; communicating governance criteria to global flight departments; reviewing work orders and logbook entries for accuracy and completeness; coordinating aircraft maintenance activities with international flight departments; auditing aircraft maintenance records; working with vendors to share information on equipment ; supporting the aviation maintenance teams in the coordination, planning, and preparation for aircraft inspections; and identifying, selecting, coordinating, scheduling, and monitoring transient maintenance providers.

Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales.

Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.

Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans; using the Open Door Policy; and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices.

Minimum Qualifications...
